• Adobe Photoshop

Adobe Photoshop is a graphics program developed by Adobe for editing photo's and other digital visual material via the computer. Photoshop is available for Mac OS X and Windows. Until version 4 there was also a Unix variant. Nowadays, Linux - and UNIX users rely on Code Weavers' Cross Over, Wine, to the Windows version of Photoshop also under X Window System to run. Photoshop is aimed at professional users.  For less demanding users, there is Adobe Photoshop Elements, which provides a slightly different functionality. This is free online use.   • Properties 

                             By many Photoshop is considered the industry standard for both printing and desktop publishing, as for the web regarding digital imaging.

The screen layout with movable palettes, floating pallets, has been acquired by numerous other software makers into their products. Also working with layers from version 3 with transparent layers with objects such as text, images, colors, which can be superimposed with the original image remains intact, a standard by which all other graphics packages are weighed.

In Photoshop, filters and plugins from others, masks, layer effects, and more are used. Starting with version 5, the program has been greatly enhanced with features for WebEx port. For example, the supplementary program ImageReady cut possible images (slice), each exporting its own address (image folder) or in tables, complete with JavaScript - and HTML code. The "save for web" function JPEG -, PNG - or POISON -Images optimize and compress for web publishing.





Version History


           The first version of Photoshop was published in February 1990.


  • CS3 

            Mid 2007's CS3 issued. Photoshop 10 runs faster on Intel-based Macs because it is written in Universal Binary. New is the function Smart Filters. This function filters can be easily put on and off. Furthermore, the user interface, print settings, Camera Raw support, select and clone function improved.

In addition to these changes, for professional users an enhanced version called Photoshop CS3 Extended. In this version, it is also possible to in 3D images in a simple manner to load and to edit it by means of the known Photoshop-interface. Something that until now was not possible with Photoshop.

The edit and change video files and Flash files is possible with the extended version.

  • CS4

           In CS4, the functions to manipulate 3D objects very extensive. In CS4 Extended version is the biggest added feature Content-Aware Scaling and also the compass with which one can rotate the canvas in all directions is new. The CS4 version does have relatively high requirements for the graphics card.

  • CS5

           Since late 2010 launched Adobe CS5. In this version was added several new features, including a function that makes it possible to generate the computer itself content that would be logical to where you for example remove a piece. It is possible simply to remove parts from a photo without this looks strange.

  • CS6

           Since 2012, Adobe CS6 made available online. In this version, the program works as Adobe again even better. Starting the program faster. The interface has completely changed and the artificial intelligence of the "Intelligent Auto Correction" has improved. The '3D image editing' features that were present in CS5 summarily, are now more prominent and can be seen as a full extra features in Photoshop CS6.
